I've begun a science fantasy manuscript with the title "All Of Our Realities". I'll be working on this manuscript in my spare time and when I'm not working on my short stories.

I'm working on a collection of short stories. I'm aiming for ten, not sure if that is a good goal. The collection will include, "The Box Collector" (completed), "An Early Retirement" (completed), "The Hospitality Girl", "Gabriel Simmons", and "My Dead" (all three are works in progress). Update: Gabriel Simmons completed 5/28/16.
The Box Collector is a narrative account of one day in the life of the story teller. The reader experiences the happiness and loss felt by one man as he recounts his life. The narrator reaches an inevitability of decision that awaits us all. Showing both the innocence and cruelty that life offers, The Box Collector leaves an impression that won't soon be forgotten.
An Early Retirement is the story of a young woman who has found a way to enjoy life by taking segments of her retirement while she is young enough to enjoy every experience. Reminiscent of John D MacDonald's Travis McGee, the young woman is someone Travis would have enjoyed in his life, but someone he would've never been able to trust.
The Hospitality Girl is the story of Tammie Bowers, a young woman whose heart has been broken by the only man she's ever loved. As she struggles to pull the loose chords of her life together, she meets ninety-one year old Alice Rogers, the one woman who seems to understand her struggle. Sharing her own life story, Alice leads Tammie through a world of adventure and excitement. Through Alice's story, Tammie learns all that life can hold and how wonderful and sad it is to be in love.
Gabriel Simmons is the story of a twelve year old boy who doesn't want to go outside. Inside he has his books. Inside he can experience happiness and live through the imagination of others. Outside the world is bent and cruel and twisted to the devices of his own imagination. Outside no one is safe. Original title: Gerald Simmons. The name Gabriel (eg Gabriel the Archangel) seemed a better contrast to his ideations.
My Dead is the story of the enlightening of Mitchell Garrett RN. Having worked with the elderly for ten years, Mitchell is accustomed to their eccentricities. But today he feels like digging deeper. What makes them tick? What are they thinking? Noticing one patient staring intently at the wall, Mitchell urges the elderly man to tell him what he sees. Mitchell is about to discover that some questions should never be answered.
